Rachel Izzard, Chief Financial Officer at Aer Lingus, will be honoured among Ireland’s most innovative and influential CFOs at a special launch event hosted by Business & Finance in association with Friends First at The Merrion, Dublin on Wednesday May 24th.

The CFO 100 launch event represents an opportunity to reflect on how far national and global businesses across Ireland have come under the direction and strategic vision of their Chief Financial Officers, coinciding with a special digital Index profiling the top 100 CFOs in the country.

Rachel Izzard is among the financial officers who will be commended for their achievements and contributions in businesses across Ireland, and for their innovation, which goes far beyond the boundaries of financial acumen.

A long-time employee of British Airways, Izzard joined the airline in 1996, heading the finance section of IAG’s cargo operation since 2013.

Following the IAG takeover of Aer Lingus in 2015 and the departure of former CFO Bernard Bot, she was appointed as the company’s Chief Financial Officer.

Speaking about their involvement with the CFO 100 launch, Chief Commercial Officer of Friends First JP Hughes, said: “Friends First are delighted to once again be involved with the CFO 100 Event. This significant event honours a unique group of people who display not only astute financial knowledge but a breadth of innovative expertise. The combination of these skill sets has in many cases greatly contributed to the success of many businesses in Ireland.”
