Over the last four decades, Business & Finance Media Group has built up a prestigious events division recognising excellence in business across a wide range of disciplines.

Our experienced team of event managers currently produce many successful events each year, from award ceremonies, summits and forums to product launches, breakfast briefings and workshops in Ireland, the UK, the US and further afield.

Our awards programmes – which include the Business & Finance Awards – serve as a focal point in their industries, recognising excellence and best practice and rewarding achievements both in Ireland and internationally. While our internationally recognised summits, including Ireland Day, create forums for unparalleled debate and engagement, in bringing together diverse and outstanding groups of experts in their fields.

Over 40 years of hosting events, some of most influential business leaders and outstanding corporations have been recognised by our unique programmes. Business and political luminaries that have been honoured to date include President WJ Clinton, Senator George Mitchell and Peter Sutherland, and those who have shaped Irish business including, TK Whitaker, Padraig O hUiginn, Dermot Desmond, Denis O’Brien, Sir Anthony O’Reilly and Arthur Ryan.

We have also recognised many Irish companies that now operate with great success globally, including: Glanbia, Kerry Group, Digicel, Paddy Power, Smurfit Kappa Group, Tullow Oil and Ryanair.

In 2015, Business & Finance Media Group will manage a host of prestigious events, attracting audiences of over 1,000 people.


February 23rd: The Irish Sports Awards
The Irish Sports Awards is an annual award ceremony and this year took place on February 6th 2016. Created and hosted by Business2Sports and Business & Finance Media Group, the Awards recognise those outstanding sports people whom we believe make significant contributions to Irish sports in a local and global context.

March 13th: Ireland Day at NYSE
On March 14th 2016, Ireland INC will host the sixth annual Ireland Day at the New York Stock Exchange.
This series of C-suite international business round-table discussions will be attended by a unique group of
global business and political leaders to develop clear strategies to build on the economic and cultural ties
between Ireland and the US.

April 12th: eir Junior Spider Awards
The eir Junior Spider Awards recognise and reward youths aged 19 and under for the innovative ways they use the internet, especially around website development, school blogs and design. This year’s event takes place at Croke Park in Dublin.

May 26th: Business2Business Awards
The Business2Business Awards is awarded once a year to any company which provides an excellent and unique level of service to its clients. The awards aim to recognise and reward business excellence across all service sectors. Open to organisations of any size and individuals, based anywhere in Ireland, entries are encouraged from those that feel they are working smarter than their competitors to create a business edge.

October 3rd: eir Elevation Awards
With a spotlight on innovation, international scalability, differentiation and strategic investment to the Irish economy, the eir Elevation Awards celebrates the unique recognition, success and ingenuity of the fastest growing businesses across Ireland (including Northern Ireland) and the unique drivers behind them.

November 30th: eir Spider Awards
The eir Spiders is one of the most highly anticipated nights in the Irish digital industry, rewarding Irish businesses and community organisations for their creativity and innovation and provide an important opportunity to recognise and showcase online excellence. The Awards are considered an important benchmark for distinction and excellence in web-based business strategies. Previous winners have been on the cutting edge of their chosen fields and have since gone onto great success in their respective industries.

December 14th: Business & Finance Irish Business Awards
The Business & Finance Awards programme has recognised some of Ireland’s most significant business success stories. Established in 1974, it has become the longest running and most coveted business awards programme in Ireland and on December 17th, in front of over 1,200 guests, the awards paid tribute to some of Ireland’s most outstanding leaders. Previous winners of the Outstanding Contribution Award to Ireland include business and political luminaries such as Martin Naughton, Sir Terry Leahy, Dermot Desmond, Arthur Ryan, JP McManus, Neville Isdell and Niall FitzGerald KBE.

February 28th: Business & Finance FDI 100 magazine launch
The FDI 100 is an annually updated index highlighting and honouring the decisions of multinationals and their leaders to invest in Ireland. With a spotlight on job creation, innovation, thought leadership and the most vital contributions to the Irish economy, the Business & Finance FDI 100 represents some of the most extensive profiling of Ireland’s largest multinationals.

The CIO 100 edition recognises the top 100 chief information officers who are the key contributors to formulating organisational goals as storage, transmittal and analysis of electronic information grows in importance across some of the largest corporates in Ireland.

April 25th: Business & Finance CFO 100 magazine launch
The CFO 100 edition recognises the top 100 chief financial officers working across some of the largest corporates in Ireland and highlights their financial acumen, innovations, and the contribution they make to businesses throughout Ireland.
