Insights on entrepreneurship from Ariadne Capital founder and CEO, Julie Meyer, speaking at the KPMG Inspire Series

Julie Meyer MBE is founder and CEO of Ariadne Capital, a VC firm. She was co-founder of the tech networking club First Tuesday, which sold to Yazam for a reputed $50m in 2000.

Her latest venture, Entrepreneur Country is a network of investors, entrepreneurs and media partners. This company allows investors and entrepreneurs to exchange information and meet relevant business connections.

In 2011, Julie became a member of the UK Secretary of State’s Entrepreneurs Panel and the Secretary of Health’s Innovation Panel. Her hard work was rewarded in 2012 when she received an honorary MBE for her ‘services to entrepreneurship’, the same year she had her first book ‘Welcome to Entrepreneur Country’, published.

We spoke to Julie at the second KPMG Inspire Series event, in Dublin’s RHA Gallery. The Inspire Series of speaker events are targeted at entrepreneurs, to give them an opportunity to take in fresh thinking and insights from a range of global entrepreneurs.
