The privately held financial institution, Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH), new office is located on Herbert Street in Dublin 2 where it operates a fund administration and trustee services business.

Through strategic investments, BBH has transitioned from leaders in merchant banking and transatlantic trade to an integrated worldwide financial services firm. The company has had a presence in Ireland for 20 years.

Simon Harris TD, Minister of State at the Department of Finance, said: “It’s apt that Brown Brothers Harriman mark their 20 years doing business in Ireland with the opening of a new and expanded premises. It is a strong vote of confidence in the resilience of Ireland’s International Financial Services sector and the Government’s aim to promote sustainable jobs and economic growth into the future. I look forward to working with BBH and the wider industry in attracting more business to Ireland.”

Martin Shanahan, CEO, IDA Ireland welcomed the news. “Growing our cluster of financial services clients in Ireland is a key part of our new strategy – released this year. When companies like BBH make decisions to locate and grow in Ireland, it sends out a message to all other financial institutions that Ireland is a great place to locate your business,” he said.
