The annual Dublin Economics Workshop (DEW) conference is celebrating its 40th year and takes place on Friday and Saturday the 22 and 23 September in Wexford’s Whites at Wexford.

DEW is seen as one of Ireland’s main dates for discussion in the field of economic policy issues and will be attended by the country’s leading policymakers and academics.

For 32 years the conference was known as the “Kenmare Conference” and was held annually in Kenmare, Co. Kerry until it changed tack and moved to different locations across Ireland with Wexford being the destination for this year’s 40th showing.

This year’s conference will see the Minister for Finance and Public Expenditure Paschal Donohoe and Fianna Fáil spokesperson on Brexit Stephen Donnelly attend as main speakers. Also included on the schedule is commentator Frances Coppola and former Secretary-General of the European Commission Catherine Day.
