European Medtech Week aims to raise awareness about the value of medical technologies

This week is European Medtech Week, which sees medtech companies and associations organising a wide range of activities across various platforms and media channels to promote the value of medical technologies.

The European Medtech Week initiative was launched as part of MedTech Europe’s ‘Value of Medtech’ campaign to improve awareness and understanding of the medtech sector amongst stakeholders such as the general public, politicians, regulators, healthcare professionals and patients.

A wide variety of activities organised at EU, national and local level to explain how medtech helps to save lives and improve health.

This year the Irish Medtech Association focused on patients with a special patient-medtech ‘Innovation for a Lifetime’ event on June 19th in Dublin.

Member-led industry innovation stories were published online to highlight how technologies developed and/or manufactured in Ireland save and improve lives.

The Association also launched a new award category for the Best European MedTech Week Campaign Award for the annual Irish Medtech Awards 2017 to recognise the vision, impact and innovative campaign led by medtech organisations who get involved in this important initiative.

The Business & Finance Life Sciences 50 event takes place on July 13th. Click here for more information.
