Dublin-based student lender Future Finance has announced its intention to create 50 new positions over the next two years as it expands its business across Europe.

The announcement marks another major milestone for the company after successfully launching in the UK 16 months ago. The new jobs being created are in sales, marketing, customer support and product development.

Future Finance has to date received over 25,000 applications from students at every university in the UK and has lent a total of over €22.1m. The company has established 17 partnerships with universities in the UK and has plans to roll out its service across Europe.

Richard Bruton TD, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, said: “Today’s announcement that Future Finance, a fast-growing company in this area, is creating an extra 50 jobs in its Dublin headquarters is another important step and a very welcome boost for the city. I wish Brian and all the team continued success with this project.”

Brian Norton, CEO, Future Finance commented: “We are very excited to continue the amazing growth our business has experienced over the past year, and delighted that we chose Dublin as the headquarters for our operation. We have benefitted significantly from the excellent business environment and the quality of employees we’ve been able to hire in Dublin. Future Finance was established to give students across Europe access to a tailored, affordable and transparent financing option to help bridge this funding gap. I look forward to offering this option to Irish students in the near future.”
