The Irish Management Institute (IMI) has achieved its highest ever Financial Times (FT) ranking for the provision of customised executive education.
The IMI is a membership organisation that reflects a spectrum of Irish industry, from indigenous start-ups to the world’s largest multinationals. For 60 years IMI has pioneered the development of executive education in Ireland.
Today’s announcement shows the IMI has jumped 12 places in the esteemed standings to now rank at 52nd position globally, meaning the IMI is the joint highest climber globally in the 2016 rankings.
It is also the eighth year in succession that the IMI has been placed among the top global providers of uniquely tailored, company-specific executive education. The IMI also remains the only business school in Ireland, ranked by the FT for customised executive education.
The IMI lies seventh of nine ranked providers from the UK and Ireland, and continues to rank ahead of Cambridge University’s Judge School of Business and Imperial College London.
Speaking about the announcement, Dr Simon Boucher, CEO of IMI, said: “Achieving our highest ever position in this prestigious global ranking is a momentous day for the IMI. This ranking, which is solely determined by feedback from our clients, demonstrates the high regard in which IMI is held across industry on a national and international level.”
In this year’s rankings, the IMI also ranked 11th globally and first in the UK and Ireland for the extent and effectiveness of follow-up offered after course participants returned to their workplaces, finishing ahead of the likes of Oxford, Cambridge and Harvard.
In terms of the level of international participants, where customised programmes have participants from more than one country, the IMI stands at 17th globally and fourth in the UK and Ireland ahead of Harvard, Oxford, Columbia, UCLA and Stanford.
