Topaz invests €10m in two new stations creating 110 jobs

Fuel and convenience retailer Topaz has opened its newest service station at Northern Cross, Clonshaugh, Co. Dublin, creating 45 new jobs.

The Clonshaugh opening will service the residents of Clonshaugh, Balgriffin, Donaghmede and surrounding regions, as well as the many frequent road-users who pass through the area. An additional 20 jobs will be created by Supermac’s who have opened a new family restaurant and drive through as well as a Papa John’s Pizza restaurant at the station.

A further investment of €5.5m and the creation of 65 jobs with the planned opening of a new Motorway site on Monday, February 9th in the Ballacolla region in Laois, located at junction 3 on the M8 Dublin to Cork roadway. Both sites will provide services to approximately 50,000 motorists using the two motorways each day.

On hand to unveil the brand new store at Northern Cross were Topaz ambassador, former Munster and Ireland star Alan Quinlan and Irish footballer and FIFA Puskas Award finalist Stephanie Roche alongside store manager Agnis Punculs and Paul Candon, Group marketing director at Topaz.

Speaking of the store opening, Paul Candon said: “We are delighted to announce the addition of a further 110 jobs at our new service stations in Clonshaugh and in Laois. The Clonshaugh service station, as part of our Re.Store network, is helping to revolutionise the customer experience with the highest quality artisan foods on offer as people refuel both their vehicles and their bodies.
