This morning An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar officially opened and addressed delegates at Inspirefest, a unique international conference and festival of technology, science, design and the arts.

The event, now in its third year, covers key trends from infosec to blockchain, AI to robotics, games to professional development.

Earlier today Ann O’Dea, Inspirefest founder, said: “Inclusivity sits at the heart of our conference, not just in gender diversity, but in the way Inspirefest has embraced all the issues that are shaping the digital society and economy.”

Inspirefest will welcome over 50 speakers and 3,000 guests from 15 countries, with some of the keynotes including Ana Matronic (author of Robot Takeover), Rhianna Pratchett (lead writer on Tomb Raider), Dr France Córdova (US National Science Foundation Director and first NASA chief scientist), Omar Abbosh (Chief Strategy Officer for Accenture) and Marcus Weldon (President and CTO of Nokia Bell Labs).

Inspirefest also features an exciting family and fringe festival taking place at various locations around the city.
