Business & Finance highlights some of the top movers and shakers in Ireland.

What is it?

TreyBro is the data analytics platform for video game communities. It connects gamers across all the top platforms using real data extracted from the game platforms such as skill level, play style and mindset. TreyBro aggregates this data to enable stronger game community engagement and retention, better inform sales strategies and increase interaction with developers and personalities.

Who’s behind it?

TreyBro was formed by Waterford native twin brothers Daniel and Michael Treyvaud and Patrick O’Callaghan from Tipperary.

How is it funded?

TreyBroTreyBro’s first year of operations was fully boot-strapped by the team. The founders, with support from the South East BIC in Waterford, raised a seed round via the Halo Business Angels Network. The team also appeared on this year’s Dragons’ Den and have a partnership with entrepreneur Gavin Duffy.

In addition, they are Enterprise Ireland New Frontiers participants and hope to raise a HPSU round by the end of summer 2016. They are currently preparing a series A funding round of €600,000 to €900,000 to support expansion.

Future plans?

TreyBro are looking to refine the platform over the coming year. They will continue to build new functionality based on community feedback, in-platform analytics and the needs of business partners.

They will take on four new employees this year in the areas of UI/UX, community and operations support.

They will also have a big presence in Gamescom Cologne this August and have aggressive user acquisition targets in place.
