Insights from the world of venture capital, with Draper Esprit’s Nicola McClafferty
Nicola McClafferty has seen fundraising from both sides of the table. Working in VC in London she was inspired to enter into start-up life and founded an e-commerce business, Covetique.com, selling on re-owned designer clothing and accessories. With business booming and the need for scale pressing, they sold out to their strategic investor, Asos.com in 2015.
Nicola has since returned to Dublin and joined Brian Caulfield in the Irish arm of Draper Esprit, with a particular focus on finding Irish tech start-ups to invest in. Draper Esprit’s notable investments have included Datahug and Movidius.
