Miles Karemacher, General Manager
Coca-Cola HBC Ireland & Northern Ireland

Miles Karemacher.

Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (HBC) has appointed Miles Karemacher to the role of General Managerof Coca-Cola HBC Ireland and Northern Ireland.  Miles will be responsible for driving the continued growth of the company and leading the 760 strong workforce across the island of Ireland. Miles replaces Matthieu Seguin, following his appointment to the role of General Manager for Coca-Cola HBC’s Nigerian Bottling Company.

Miles joins the Irish business from Coca‑Cola HBC Italy where he, as Commercial Excellence Director, played an integral role in delivering sustainable revenue growth and profit; expanding the portfolio and reshaping the price and pack strategy in response to consumer and customer needs. During his time in Italy, he also successfully led the acquisition of Lurisia, a premium natural mineral water and adult sparkling beverages business.

Miles is responsible for overseeing the growth of the company’s core portfolio of still and soft drinks, including international brands Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Schweppes and Monster Energy; local brands Deep RiverRock and Fruice; and the introduction of newer innovations to the market including Fuzetea and the Honest lemonade and coffee range. Following recent distribution partnerships for the Republic of Ireland with The Campari Group, Edrington and Glendalough Distillery, he will also continue to drive the growth of the business’s premium spirits portfolio.

Miles Karemacher, Coca-Cola HBC Ireland and Northern Ireland said: “I am delighted to take up the position of General Manager at an important time in the growth of the company’s great portfolio of drinks and in our journey to creating a World Without Waste.

With a vision to be the leading 24/7 beverage partner, the sustainability of our packaging is a priority and I’m committed to building on the successful initiatives undertaken to date. We continue to invest in more sustainable packaging and will be one of the first markets to introduce KeelClip packaging next year; eliminating 250 tonnes of shrink wrap plastic across island of Ireland annually. We’ve also set an ambitious target to collect and recycle the equivalent of one pack for each one we sell by 2030 and will accelerate our strategy to champion greater recycling amongst consumers.

Prior to joining Coca‑Cola HBC, Miles held senior roles in strategy, revenue growth management, finance and commercial at SAB Miller and Coca‑Cola Amatil. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, an MBA, and is a Certified Practising Accountant.
