Katrina Quinn, Data Security Specialist
AMI

Secure IT recycling company AMI has appointed Katrina Quinn as Data Security Specialist. She brings over 30 years of experience in business development and operations to the role.

This new role was created by AMI to reflect the increasing importance businesses are placing on data security. Katrina will be responsible for growing AMI’s business in the Republic of Ireland and spreading awareness in the market of the need for secure data destruction, as well as maintaining and developing key relationships with clients in the public and commercial sectors. Her role will involve liaising with businesses to understand their needs and most pressing data security concerns.

Katrina has extensive cross-industry experience in the business development sector. Prior to joining AMI, Katrina held the positions of Business Development Manager and Telesales Manager with internet communications services company, Voxbit.

Previously, Katrina spent 20 years with Yell, the UK’s leading online business directory, where she held a number of positions, most recently as Senior Digital Account Manager. Katrina also has five years’ experience with IPC Media (London) as Group Head of Digital Publications.

Katrina is also an advanced GDPR Qualified Professional and an active committee member of Newry Chamber of Commerce & Trade. She has been awarded at the UK National Awards for Customer Excellence on several occasions throughout her career, testimony to her customer-centric approach to business.

Shaw McClung, Audit Partner
Crowe

Accountancy and business advisory practice Crowe announced the appointment of Shaw McClung as its newest Audit Partner.

Shaw joins the practice from, Barr Pomeroy, where he had previously been a partner for 11 years. A fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and an AITI Chartered Tax Advisor, Shaw also has a Diploma in Forensic Accounting and a Certificate in Personal Insolvency.

Naoise Cosgrove, Managing Partner, and Shaw McClung newly appointed Audit Partner, Crowe.

Over his career, Shaw has gained a wealth of experience providing audit, accountancy, tax and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of Irish and international private and corporate clients. He has expertise in forensic accounting, Revenue settlements, personal and corporate tax compliance, due diligence and insolvency and debt restructuring.

Welcoming Shaw to his new role, Crowe’s managing partner, Naoise Cosgrove said:

Vistra

Hong Kong-based global trust, corporate services and fund administration provider, Vistra, has announced two executive leadership appointments – William Douglas as Chief Commercial Officer, and Derek Kemp asRegional Managing Director of the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands, and the Middle East.

Derek Kemp, Vistra

Derek is responsible for the leadership and development of Vistra’s businesses in the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands, and the Middle East, supporting the broader growth ambition of the organisation globally.

He has held a range of international senior management roles in his 30+ years in the technology consulting industry across Europe, APAC and the Middle East. He joined Vistra from Capgemini where he held a number of senior leadership roles. Prior to joining Vistra, he was Executive Vice President of EMEA/APAC Business Services, while concurrently also serving as Global Sales Officer, where he led businesses across a wide range of service lines and industry verticals and successfully led the integration of a number of different business units, contributing to material sales growth.

Comprising more than 600 employees across 10 offices, the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands, and Middle East combined accounts for about 20% of Vistra’s global business. Based in London, both William and Derek will also sit on Vistra’s Executive Committee.
