Business & Finance highlights notable new appointments at BNP Paribas Real Estate Ireland, Ruden Homes and The Institute of Directors in Ireland.

Ruden Homes has announced the appointment of two new board directors, Peter Ruane and Robert Deane.

Peter has a professional civil engineering and construction management background. He also gained nine years Industry experience in both UK and domestic markets. He has served the company in various roles to date, including Site Engineer & Site Manager.

Robert, an Accountant by profession, has also served the company in various roles as required over the last 15 years.

Robert Murphy, Director of Business Development & Capital Advisory

BNP Paribas Real Estate Ireland

Robert Murphy has been appointed Director of Business Development & Capital Advisory at BNP Paribas Real Estate Ireland (BNPPRE).

Mr Murphy joins BNPPRE from Cushman & Wakefield Ireland, where he was Head of Debt & Structured Finance.  A Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, Mr Murphy previously worked for major financial institutions, including Land Securities plc and Irish Life Investment Managers, where he structured and executed real estate transactions across multiple European markets.

The Institute of Directors in Ireland

The Institute of Directors in Ireland, the membership body representing 3,000 directors and business leaders, announced that Mr Harry Lorton was appointed President of the Institute of Directors in Ireland (IoD) at the Institute’s AGM this evening. He succeeds Dr Michael Somers, following the completion of Dr Somer’s two-year term leading the Council of the Institute.
