Assystem Technologies becomes Expleo and announces 150 jobs for Dublin and Belfast

Following a series of acquisitions in 2018, including SQS – a quality partner for digital business with 500 people in Ireland – Assystem Technologies has rebranded as Expleo and announced an €8million investment to expand its business in Ireland, creating 120 new jobs in Dublin and 30 jobs in the company’s Digital Labs in Belfast.

Speaking at the announcement, Phil Codd, Managing Director, Expleo Ireland, said:

We are very excited to become Expleo today, which marks the start of a bold new chapter for the company across the island of Ireland. The key to this will be – and always has been – our people. We have a rich digital ecosystem in Ireland and we plan to be an even greater driving force at the heart of that ecosystem, reinforcing Ireland’s position as a major player in the global digital economy.

Expleo offers access to sector-specific expertise and best practice across consultancy and business agility, product design, production and in-service support, as well as continuous quality. This service portfolio reflects the changing needs of the market where engineering and software are becoming increasingly intertwined.

Executive Director, IDA Ireland, Mary Buckley, commenting on the career opportunities the expansion will have for technology professionals and graduates, said,

Europe is an important market for IDA Ireland in terms of foreign direct investment and Expleo’s continued investment in Dublin is a strong reflection of the thriving technology sector here.

Ambitious growth perspectives for Ireland and beyond

With 15,000 people in more than 25 countries, plans to further expand its footprint, notably in Germany, North America and India. In India, Expleo aims to quickly double in size, and reach more than 5,000 employees in the next few years.

Expleo Ireland will focus on the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, aerospace and automobile industries as key growth areas in the future.
