The Marker Hotel in Dublin’s Silicon Docks played host to representatives from some of Ireland’s top tech companies last night as Business & Finance launched it’s annual Tech 100 issue, a listing of the 100 most influential technology companies in Ireland today.

The pace of Ireland’s growing tech industry is phenomenal and Ireland is considered the fastest growing country in Europe for data centre operators. US tech giants alone invested more than $130bn into Ireland between 2008 and 2012. To put that into context, that is the same level of investment in the tech industry in all of Asia. In light of Ireland’s leading presence in the global tech landscape, the Business & Finance Tech 100 listing highlights and honours the 100 most important, influential and innovative tech companies trading in Ireland, from indigenous firms such as Cleverbug and Trustev to multinationals such as Facebook and Google, the Tech 100 for 2014 profiles the leading players that are making a real difference to the Irish economy.

Ian Hyland, publisher of Business & Finance and founder of Ireland INC says: “The Business & Finance Tech 100 listing identifies the leaders of this diverse community, recognises their endeavours and we hope its publication will play a part in fostering even greater connectivity between these executives in this key sector for the Irish business community both at home and abroad.”
