This week sees new and notable appointments at Neuromod Devices, Royal London Insurance Ireland, Sysnet Global Solutions


Rosemarie Tully, Chief Operating Officer,
Neuromod Devices

Neuromod Devices Limited, the Irish medical technology company specialising in non-invasive neuromodulation technologies, has announced that Rosemarie Tully has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (“COO”), effective immediately. Ms. Tully most recently held the role of Chief Business Officer, responsible for business development, corporate and commercial strategy.

In addition to her current responsibilities for corporate development and strategy, Ms. Tully will now assume responsibility for all of Neuromod’s operating activities, including manufacturing, supply chain, regulatory, quality and compliance functions.  Ms. Tully will continue to report to Dr. Ross O’Neill, Chief Executive Officer of Neuromod.

As COO, Ms Tully will play a key role in supporting Neuromod’s accelerated growth phase as it transitions from a research and development organisation to large-scale manufacturing organisation, supporting the commercialisation of the Company’s tinnitus treatment device, Lenire®. As COO, Ms Tully’s key short-term focus will be scaling up manufacturing capacity of the Lenire® device to meet anticipated European demand; and implementing regulatory strategy required to support market entry into the United States.

Commenting on the announcement, Dr. Ross O Neill, CEO of Neuromod Devices said: “I am delighted to announce Rosemarie’s appointment as Chief Operating Officer. Rosemarie’s broad skillset and extensive international experience in senior leadership roles in the Pharma sector have been crucial to the development of Neuromod, since she joined the company in 2018. Rosemarie has also delivered key commercial initiatives like the successful launch of our Lenire® brand in Ireland and Germany. As COO she will continue to support myself and our newly appointed Chief Commercial Officer, Florian Elsäßer as the roll-out of our commercial strategy accelerates in key markets”.

Ms. Tully is a registered pharmacist, with more than 20 years of industry experience including senior roles in corporate development and strategy at Sigmoid Pharma (now Sublimity Therapeutics), Elan Corporation (now Perrigo), as well as strategy consulting experience at McKinsey & Company.  Ms. Tully earned her BSc (Pharm) at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and an MBA from INSEAD, France.

Noel Freeley has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Royal London Insurance DAC, trading under the name of Royal London Ireland. Mr. Freeley takes up the role following his position as Royal London Group’s Legacy Division Director.

Royal London Group Chief Executive Barry O’Dwyer, said “Noel is a very experienced leader, with a track record of senior roles at Co-operative Insurance Society and Friends Provident as well as Royal London and is well placed to take our Ireland business forward. He’ll build on our successes of the past, ensuring we continue to put the customer at the heart of our propositions.”

Speaking about his appointment Mr. Freeley said,

Our award-winning Irish business has developed compelling propositions and seen strong market-share growth as a result, and I am delighted to join such a great team. Last month, Royal London Group, the largest mutual life, pensions and investment company in the UK announced strong new business growth results for the twelve months ending 31 December 2019. While the Group’s full year business results reported robust new life and pensions business volumes, Royal London’s Irish subsidiary performed particularly strongly. New business sales (PVNBP*) grew strongly by 20% to €152m (2018: €126.5m), while its new business contribution increased to €15m (2018: €12.2m) and performance was strong across all products, particularly Mortgage Protection and Term Assurance.

Sysnet Global Solutions

Sysnet Global Solutions, a leading provider of cyber security and compliance solutions, recently announced several key appointments to its senior leadership team. Paul Prior has been appointed as Chief Product Officer, while Sandra Higgins has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer and Lisa Grassick as Chief People Officer.

With Sysnet since 2006, Paul Prior has operated in several roles across the company. He now holds full responsibility of product requirements, market fit, and ensuring Sysnet’s solution-set and associated product roadmaps meet or exceed client requirements in supporting more than 2.6 million small business customers on Sysnet’s platform.

Secondly, Sandra Higgins joined Sysnet in 2011 as Senior Vice President of Marketing and holds over 20 years’ experience in the payments industry. She is responsible for all aspects of Sysnet’s corporate marketing strategy and driving a growing demand for Sysnet’s solutions on a global scale.

Transitioning from HR Director to Chief People Officer, Lisa Grassick joined the company in 2019 after working in HR roles around the world. Lisa is responsible for driving Sysnet’s people agenda and strategy across all territories.
