Dr. Rosheen McGuckian, Non-Executive Director,
Sicon Limited

Sicon Limited, the parent company of John Sisk & Son – Ireland’s premier construction company, is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Rosheen McGuckian as Non–Executive Director with effect from 1st July 2020.

Dr. McGuckian is the Chief Executive Officer of NTR plc, an unquoted Irish company that acquires, constructs and manages sustainable infrastructure assets, having been appointed to the role in April 2013. Rosheen has held several other senior management positions within the company since joining NTR in 2008. Immediately prior to join NTR, Dr. McGuckian was CEO of GE Money Ireland, the consumer finance division of General Electric, having joined GE in 2002. In her early career, she held senior management positions in various sectors and industries.

Dr. McGuckian is a Non–Executive Director of Grafton Group plc., and previously served as a Non–Executive Director of the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland, Green Reit plc, the Social Innovation Fund of Ireland and the Irish Aviation Authority.

Commenting on the appointment Gary McGann, Non-Executive Chairman of Sicon Limited said, “I am delighted to welcome Rosheen to the Board of Sicon Limited. Her wealth of experience and knowledge across several business sectors will be a great addition to the Board of Sicon in this very dynamic business and societal environment’.


Jackie King, Director of International Business,
Ibec

Employers’ group Ibec has announced the appointment of Jackie King as director of international business, based in Brussels.

Ms. King, the COO of Canada’s Chamber of Commerce, will take up the position on July 1st, to lead Ibec’s “international scaling strategy” through the “creation of new alliances and pursuing opportunities for commercial growth”.

In a note to staff, Ibec chief executive Danny McCoy said Ms King would “advance our commercial internationalisation goal”.

Ms King joined the Canadian chamber in 2018, having spent 19 years with public relations and public affairs consultancy Hill + Knowlton Strategies.

At the chamber, she was responsible for leading the executive and management teams in the development and execution of its strategic plan – overseeing operational and financial performance, and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders.
