2016 eir Spider Awards open for nominations

The country’s longest-standing and most prestigious digital technology awards is in pursuit of Irish business players who are leaders in the digital technology sphere.

Since its inception in 1996, the eir Spider Awards has played host to some of country’s most acclaimed online influencers and reputable businesses.

This year’s awards will span 19 categories with the goal of highlighting the digital achievements of established brands, businesses and start-ups nationwide.

The awards strive to acknowledge the technological performances of companies and organisations within the digital community and pay tribute to those who have made a lasting impression on the Irish business landscape across the domains of travel, charity, retail, education, financial services, Irish language, and many more.

In addition, three new categories have been added: Best in Blogging, Best Campaign and Best Use of Customer Experience and User Experience.

The most esteemed accolade of the eir Spiders will be granted to the ceremony’s overall winner on the night, with the announcement of a Grand Prix winner.

As part of the eir Spiders programme, free digital workshops will be held across the country so to develop relationships among digital businesses by bringing industry experts and SMEs together.

In anticipation of the awards, the workshops will provide support, encouragement and practical knowledge to start-ups and smaller businesses that are looking to enhance their current practices, strategies and online presence.

This year’s awards will take place on Wednesday, November 30th in the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in Dublin.

The entry fee this year will be €50 per entry and businesses are entitled to an unlimited amount of entries.
