The Irish company behind the One4all multi-store gift card brand has reported a 21% increase in sales year-on-year in 2016.

The Gift Voucher Shop’s One4all gift card sales for the final quarter of 2016 surpassed €96m in Ireland and £37m in the UK.

The biggest increase in 2016 overall was in online sales, which went up by 31% for the year.

One4all formed partnerships during 2016 with Littlewoods Ireland and Penneys and UK brand M&S also joined the One4all gift card in the UK in late 2016.

Michael Dawson, group CEO at the Gift Voucher Shop, said: “2016 was a hugely eventful year for One4all, and we are delighted to see another very strong increase in sales year on year – reflective of growing brand awareness for One4all and an ever-increasing confidence among consumers and businesses in Ireland. It is wonderful to see a matched growth in our consumer and corporate sales, and an increasing number of SMEs ordering gift cards to reward employees. A heightened awareness of the BIK scheme is a contributing factor to this, as companies seek to reward staff for their hard work.

“The biggest increase in 2016 sales was online, as our online sales increased by more than 31% in Ireland and a massive 61% in the UK. This is reflective of both a society that is moving online across the board and our continued efforts to capitalise on this trend by refining and improving our online experience. We expect to see this trend continue in 2017, and have plans for new and innovative products to continue to command the gifting market.”
