50 new jobs have been announced between Killarney and Cork and are due to be filled over the next 12 months by the business process outsourcing company Intercall and it’s sister company Tangerine Management.

Intercall, headquartered in Cork city and Tangerine Management located in Killarney have already started recruitment of the first of the 50 jobs that are being created. In total, the 50 jobs announced by Intercall and Tangerine Management are across three core areas of the business and will see opportunities for prospective employees in the area of sales, customer service support and management.

“It is planned that the jobs will be created across our three offices. We will see 15 new jobs go to Killarney and 35 new jobs in Cork, across two different locations in the city” said Niall Kelleher, managing director of both companies.

“This expansion between Killarney and Cork is an indication of the growth that both companies have experienced over the last number of years. Ongoing investment in our staff, technology and processes has ensured that both Intercall and Tangerine Management have grown strongly during the challenging economic conditions that Ireland has faced.”

According to Intercall founder, Jim McCoy: “Recruitment has already started in Cork and already a number of the positions have been filled. When all the new positions have been filled, the Cork operations will have increased by a third. The jobs will be located in Dosco Industrial Estate on the South Douglas Road and at the Cork Airport Business Park.”

“The expansion of the operations in Killarney, which will see the number of staff double, will require additional investment and enhanced facilities over the coming six months,” said Niall Kelleher added.

“This expansion has come on the back of our work with existing clients, but also some new clients, who are increasingly using our services to enhance their business performance. As outsourcing specialists, we are able to offer flexibility and quality to our trusted partners. The reality of business and customer service is cyclical for many companies and working with our trained teams we can ensure that our clients use their resources wisely,” said Niall Kelleher.

Intercall and Tangerine Management provide telemarketing, customer services, customer care and order processing to a wide range of clients including Vodafone, Dunnes Stores, QSat, PrePayPower, AES (Bord Na Móna) and Greyhound Recycling.

“Within twelve months we expect that employee numbers will be at over 170 staff across the three office locations. In addition, to facilitate the growth of the company over this period, we expect to spend approximately €250,000 as part of the process, the majority of which will be on capital expenditure,” concluded Kelleher.
