MEDIA: NBC NEWS LAUNCHES NEW MEDIA UNIT

The major US television network’s division NBC News has launched a media-business reporting unit. The new unit will be run by former New York Post business reporter Claire Atkinson, who is joining NBC News as a senior media editor.

“The media unit will fall under the NBC News digital umbrella, reporting to Catherine Kim, but they’ll be tasked with providing coverage to all NBC News and MSNBC platforms.”
