Bitbuzz, Ireland’s leading Wi-Fi network operator, is to increase its headcount by creating ten new full time positions across Ireland and the UK.
Significant growth and expansion in 2013 means that the team will grow from 18 to 28 this year with new jobs created in sales, account management and engineering roles.
This quarter Bitbuzz will appoint five field sales executives, a sales support role and an account manager, across Ireland and the UK. Three engineering roles are lined up for the second half of 2014.
Success for Bitbuzz in 2013 can be attributed to a number of factors:
- 81% increase to over two million registered users
- 9% increase in hotel customers now covering 12,000 bedrooms
- 67% increase to 811,940 logins
- 12% increase in hotspots to 480
- Launch of Bitbuzz Freedom
- Launch of Bitbuzz Hotel Freetime
Bitbuzz continue to hold their position as the leading Wi-Fi service provider in Ireland, however, the new sales roles are a direct reflection of the opportunity in the market for further growth and expansion in 2014. The company celebrated their most successful year ever in 2013, with revenue in excess of €2m.

We believe the reliability and quality of our Wi-Fi product is the key reason for our growth across Ireland and the UK.”
Some of the recent high profile contracts won by Bitbuzz included: Musgrave, Holiday Inn Express Hotels, Fitzwilliam Hotel, Shelbourne Hotel, KC Peaches, Insomnia, Applegreen, Harvey Nichols, Toni & Guy and Deanes Deli’s. In May 2013, Bitbuzz announced users could login to the Wi-Fi network using their Facebook or Twitter account details.
