The company’s growth continues as it secures a contract to provide services to Activate Capital, a joint venture between the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund and KKR Credit.

Capita employs 1,600 people in Ireland at sites in central Dublin, Maynooth in Co Kildare, and in Clonakilty and Little Island in Co Cork.

The company deals in the sectors of corporate services, loan administration, asset management, loan workout and recovery, as well as support services for the banking, fund administration, aviation and life and pensions industries.

Robbie Hughes, country manager for Ireland, Capita, said: “Based on business forecasts we would anticipate increasing headcount by up to 200 in the next two years. Non-bank direct lending is expected to develop increased market share over 2016 and beyond creating interesting opportunities across the business sector.”

Michael Noonan TD, Minister for Finance, commented: “Capita’s plan to increase its workforce by an additional 200 jobs is a very welcome boost to Ireland. The development of non-bank financing options for Irish businesses, in particular, has been a key priority for this Government. The Irish economy can continue to grow strongly in the medium term, but access to a broad and diverse range of financing options is an essential ingredient. Today’s announcement highlights that non-bank financing is not just good news for SMEs in Ireland but is good news for our dynamic and highly educated workforce.”
