Charles River, an enterprise-wide, front- and middle-office investment management solution provider, has opened a new managed services office in Dublin to meet growing global demand for SaaS-based operations.

Charles River Managed Services offers hosting, application management, integrated data, FIX connectivity support, and solution upgrades to help clients streamline processes and lower technology costs. The application is hosted in Charles River’s four top-tier, SSAE 16 compliant hosting centers in the US and UK.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton TD met senior executives from Charles River as part of a recent IDA mission to the USA.

Making today’s announcement, Minister Bruton said: “Financial services is a key sector we have targeted as part of our Action Plan for Jobs, and we have focused particularly on taking advantage of our strengths in the technology sector to attract financial services technology providers. Charles River is a leading provider of tech solutions for the financial services industry, and today’s announcement that it is establishing a new high-end operation in Dublin is a great boost. I commend IDA on this win and wish Charles River every success with their new operation.”

“Worldwide, financial services firms are looking to simplify operations and reduce expenses with cloud-based computing,” said Tom Driscoll, global managing director, Charles River. “We believe our private cloud-based Charles River Investment Management Solution delivers the best results for clients by ensuring successful deployment and immediate access to new capabilities, while allowing internal staff to focus on business priorities. Dublin’s reputation for a strong technical workforce makes it an ideal location for expanding our managed services team.”

According to Barry O’Leary, CEO, IDA: “We’re pleased that Charles River has selected Dublin for its new Managed Services Center as they continue to expand internationally.  As financial markets become increasingly complex requiring talented resources, Ireland is well placed to benefit from this opportunity in the coming years.”
