The event will feature a keynote address from Jerry Daykin, VP, Head of Media at Beam Suntory. 

There will also be a roundtable on the theme Exploring key marketing trends for 2023, and will focus on topics such as quantity to quality, the shift within the marketing mix and the importance of Community & Customer Experience. amongst others.

Jerry Daykin, VP, Head of Media at Beam Suntory

Jerry Daykin is a London based, global marketing leader who has helped champion media and digital at a number of global brands including his current role as VP, Head of Media at a premium spirits company Beam Suntory. Previously he has led global or regional teams at GSK/Haleon, Diageo and Mondelez He is passionate about effectiveness, creativity, conscious approaches to media and bringing digital sense to the increasingly confusing world of modern marketing. Alongside this he is outspoken about the importance of diversity & inclusion in our industry and the power of representation in marketing to positively impact society – Jerry is a World Federation of Advertisers WFA Diversity Ambassador and is a voluntary director at the Conscious Advertising Network and Outvertising. He helped produce the WFA’s guide to D&I in marketing & media and then went on to literally write the book on “Inclusive Marketing”.

Karen is an experienced marketing and business leader working both agency and client-side in large, distributed global organisations as well as early phase start-ups. She demonstrated success in creating strategies to drive growth, create demand and build a brand to increase revenue. Karen is skilled in building marketing and sales organisations, change management and leadership with a passion for developing sound execution across the right channels for a product or service. Experienced in B2B and B2C. She is passionate about finding the best ways of reaching core audiences and shifting perception in the marketplace via well-defined, thought-driven execution. 

Siobhan Smith Senior Global Marketing Manager of Expleo

As Senior Global Marketing Manager for Expleo, a world-wide technology and engineering consulting firm, Siobhán is responsible for driving growth in its key sectors. She leads an award-winning marketing team across Expleo’s strategic countries, driving commercial and business targets for their development and growth. Siobhán holds a Postgraduate Degree in Marketing and Management from TU Dublin. She was also awarded the Gold Medal for achieving a first place on the Master of Science in Management and Marketing from the Dublin Institute of Technology, class of 2018.

Tara Collins CMO of National Broadband Ireland

Tara Collins is the Chief Marketing Officer of NBI, responsible for directing the brand and communications strategy, stakeholder engagement and demand stimulation. Tara joined NBI in 2020 with a wealth of experience across marketing, communications, PR, business development, and corporate relations, built up over a career of more than 20 years in the public and private sectors. Tara has held senior roles at Ryanair, Seniors Money International, Smurfit Business School, Hewlett Packard and University College Dublin. Tara’s global experience has seen her life and work in the USA, UK, Europe, Australia and Asia. Tara sits on the Board of BizWorld Ireland, a not-for-profit organisation that promotes entrepreneurship skills for young people and is a diversity champion for the Women’s Executive Network (WXN). She also volunteers for Harvard Business Schools; virtual learning groups. Tara holds a bachelor’s Degree from the Technological University Dublin, a Professional Diploma in Business & Executive Coaching from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and is also a Harvard Business School Alumna.

Conor O’Donavan Head of Global Communications, Strategic Marketing & Events of Enterprise Ireland

Conor leads Global Marketing, Corporate Communications & Events at Enterprise Ireland, the Government’s development and trade promotion agency for Irish business. Conor has led the growth of Enterprise Ireland’s reputation, digital & social media and brand awareness to record levels and campaigns including Global Ambition, Look for Local and Irish Advantage have helped increase client growth and exports. Enterprise Ireland was cited by the European Commission for the success of its #PrepareforBrexit campaign, which helped thousands of Irish companies plan for the UK withdrawal from the European Union. Conor was awarded a full MBA scholarship from UCD Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Cliona Hayes Director of Global Brand & Advertising of Indeed

Clíona Hayes is a leading marketing and business leader with over 20 years global marketing experience, successfully building brands and driving commercial success across multiple industry sectors and organisations including FMCG, media, & tech. Clíona currently holds the position of Global Brand Director for Indeed, the world’s #1 hiring platform, leading and overseeing marketing campaigns & strategies across multiple regions. Previously holding the position of Group CMO of Communicorp Media (now Bauer Media Audio Ireland), Ireland’s largest independent radio group. Clíona began her career with Ryanair, moving onto work across various roles with Pernod Ricard based both France and Ireland including Global Senior Brand Manager for Jameson Whiskey. Clíona held the position of board member of the Marketing Society of Ireland 2017-2020.
