Dell creates a new commerce services R&D centre in Ireland

Dell today announced that Dublin has been selected as the location for a new Commerce Services R&D Centre which will play a pivotal role in the evolution of Dell’s online offerings.

The R&D work done at the Centre will lead to increased functionality for Dell.com improving the customer experience for the millions of people and businesses Dell engages with daily. The Dublin-based R&D team will, working with colleagues in other Centres, deliver new services and functionality that will be added to Dell’s online platform.

The announcement was welcomed in Dublin today by the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD, who visited the Dell facility for the announcement.

Dell’s chief information officer, Paul Walsh said. “We’re committed to rapid innovation that will ensure that Dell.com is a resource for customers and partners of all sizes for years to come.”
