E-MIT Solutions, a leading Irish IT consultancy firm, today announced the creation of 10 new jobs at its headquarters in Santry, Dublin. The jobs are being created as part of a €650,000 investment to fund the expansion of technology services provided by the firm. This includes the development and enhancement of services such as IT consultancy, IT security, cloud and infrastructure management.

Founded in 2003, E-MIT provides strategic management of a wide range of ICT solutions and services. E-MIT will begin recruitment immediately and plans to fill the 10 new roles before the end of 2015. The new jobs being made available include technical consultants, IT service management and sales and marketing roles. The firm is also appointing Finbarr Crowley as a non-executive chairman. Crowley is a founding partner of well-known legal firm Crowley Millar Solicitors and has also occupied the role of chairman of the IRFU management committee since 2009.

E-MIT’s growth is in response to the addition of new cloud and IT security solutions and increased demand from customers who want to architect more advanced technology systems and infrastructures to further their business objectives. As a result of the expansion, E-MIT will be able to offer customers more strategic value-add IT services in its target markets including professional services, media, semi-state and not-for-profit organisations.

Following this investment, E-MIT’s customers will benefit from an increased level of service, new skills and can leverage E-MIT’s increasingly advanced partnerships with global technology leaders such as Microsoft and Dell. With more advanced levels of accreditation – including recently being promoted to Dell preferred partner status – E-MIT can offer a wider choice of solutions and services to its growing customer base. This elevated status follows a fourfold increase in revenues achieved with Dell this year to date compared to the same period last year. After a comprehensive selection process E-MIT have committed to Microsoft’s Office365 and Azure platforms, and are focused on becoming a significant partner in this space. E-MIT is working with both Dell and Microsoft on some very exciting initiatives for 2015.

E-MIT is also the lead partner supporting the SME IT-CMF (SME IT Capability Maturity Framework) at IVI (Innovation and Value Institute) Maynooth University. This is a collaboration between the Innovation Technology Centre at Maynooth University and industry which is seeking to build an IT framework for Irish businesses based on a maturity model approach where excellence is achieved incrementally.

Eamon Moore, managing director of E-MIT Solutions, said of the investment: “This investment in new employees, new infrastructure and services gives us with an excellent platform to provide enhanced services to our existing customers, and achieve significant growth in new sectors and markets. Our technology solutions are designed to align fully with customers’ business objectives and improve the way they understand, interact and engage with technology.

“We are very excited by this expansion and are looking forward to welcoming new members to the team who are just as passionate about IT and business as we are. We’re also delighted that Finbarr Crowley has joined us as non-executive chairman. I’ve no doubt that his strategic input and experience will help us to drive new innovations and sustained business growth.”
