Network Ireland, the national organisation focused on driving the professional and personal development of women, will host its annual conference in the Clarion Hotel Cork City on September 30th.

Over 250 of Ireland’s leading professional businesswomen will join together to engage, network and learn from one another and from a powerful line-up of speakers who will delve into the conference theme of ‘Fearless Ambition’.

The conference will feature a range of national and international business people, motivational speakers and influencers discussing risk taking and why we need to be fearless when it comes to business and our careers.

The line-up of speakers includes: Mary White, author, Relentless; Hayley Barnard, MD, Mix Diversity Developers; Gina London, Emmy-winning veteran CNN anchor; Ann Doherty, CEO, Cork City Council; Anne Clarke, founder, Landmark Productions; Niamh Townsend, GM, Dell Ireland; senator Colette Kelleher; Donal Sullivan, VP and GM, Johnson Controls Ireland; Patricia Hyland, director of Corporate Sales and Health and Wellness, Laya Healthcare; Anne Sheehan, Enterprise director, Vodafone; Linda Kiely, co-founder, Voxpro; Mark Fitzharris, head of AIB Cork City; Cora Creed, vice president of Business Transformation at Universal Music Group; and Jim Breen, founder, Cycle Against Suicide and PulseLearning.

President of Network Ireland Deirdre Waldron, founder and partner at communications company Fuzion is looking forward to another lively and thought provoking conference.

“We have assembled world-class speakers and panellists who are primed to share their own experiences of being fearless in their careers and their businesses,” said Waldron. “My wish for delegates is for them to return home with ideas and encouragement to take their careers or their businesses to the next level, helping them to become leaders within their own business communities and their organisations – being even more fearless and ambitious than they already are.”

The MC for this year’s event is broadcaster and journalist Jonathan Healy. The event will take the format of networking, presentations and panel discussions with the day culminating in the Network Ireland National Business Awards, which sees finalists from across the country representing Network Ireland branches in six different categories.

The award winners will be announced at a gala dinner, featuring a keynote address by Dee Forbes, recently appointed director general of RTÉ. MC for the evening will be broadcaster and entrepreneur Maria Walsh.

Official partners for the conference are AIB, Cork City Council, Vodafone and is supported by Enterprise Ireland. Media partners are Business and Finance.
