Fujitsu Ireland today launched its latest technology offering for the Irish market. The new solution – vShape – combines storage, server, network and virtualisation software straight out-of-the-box at as little as 30% of the cost of traditional hardware.

Responding to the increased demand for server and desktop virtualisation, Fujitsu vShape offers a secure, flexible and scalable solution for companies with high data storage requirements such as architects, solicitors and medical companies. Desktop virtualisation also provides secure access enabling employees to work remotely and could reduce energy consumption by up to 80%.

Launching the new solution, Kenneth Keogh, director of Business Development, Fujitsu Ireland, said: “As companies look to make the transition to virtualisation and cloud, they are searching for solutions that are easy to deploy, simple to configure and can scale with their needs over time. vShape offers a stress-free solution straight out-of-the-box, significantly reducing the cost of design and time to deployment so organisations can spend less time on IT and focus instead on their core business.

“vShape also gives piece of mind by bringing best in class vendors such as NetApp, VMware, Microsoft, Symantec, Fujitsu and Brocade together in one package supported by a single maintenance contract provided by Fujitsu.”

David Delaney, head of Innovation, Fujitsu Ireland, added: “Fujitsu prides itself on cost-efficient, customer-focused solutions that offer flexibility while enhancing IT performance. vShape offers improved availability, flexibility, security and efficiency and an affordable first step for customers looking to start their journey towards private cloud.”
