Handybook, the on-demand home cleaning and repair service, today announced it launched its services internationally in London.

Londoners can immediately begin booking cleanings and home repair services with fully vetted, trusted professionals in under 60 seconds through the easy-to-use, streamlined website or mobile app.

Handybook was founded in 2012 by Oisin Hanrahan, Umang Dua, Ignacio Leonhardt, and Weina Scott, to connect consumers with trusted home improvement and cleaning professionals. The company first launched in Boston and New York and quickly expanded throughout North America. With background checked professionals and a 100% money-back guarantee, Handybook is the easiest way to find, book and pay for on-demand home services. In addition to home cleaning, the brand offers home repair services including plumbing, electrical work, painting, moving, furniture assembly and many other tasks.

“Our launch in London is an incredible milestone for the brand. The city is the ideal market for international expansion,” says Handybook CEO and co-founder, Oisin Hanrahan. “The past six months alone have seen tremendous growth for Handybook including 60% month over month. We look forward to expanding internationally and providing the same high quality service to our London customers.”

Available across the US and Canada including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and Vancouver, the entry into London comes on the heels of Handybook’s announcement that it raised over $30m in funding led by Steve Case’s Revolution Growth.

The news also follows Handybook’s April expansion into 12 additional cities including Toronto, Baltimore, Orlando, Tampa, Denver, San Antonio, Austin, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Portland, Sacramento and San Jose and comes less than six months after Handybook’s January acquisition of West Coast-based Exec. The company’s expansion has led to an unprecedented rate of growth in customers, revenue and jobs booked as well as consistent double digit month over month growth since January 2014. Handybook continues to focus on serving customer needs in each market and providing unmatched service. Handybook will maintain its global headquarters in New York City and open a London office in Shoreditch.

“We are thrilled to bring Handybook to the UK.  This is a natural evolution for the brand; not only is London one of the biggest markets in the world, but Londoners have tapped into the on-demand revolution,” said Umang Dua, COO and co-founder. “We’re excited to increase our footprint and offer Londoners Handybook’s highly-rated cleaning and repair service.”
