Carechoice, located on the Malahide Road, has launched a 165-room bespoke facility on Dublin’s north side.

The new facility will create 200 jobs, in addition to the 500 jobs that were provided during the construction phase.

Carechoice is a specialist care home operator, operating five outlets across Cork and Waterford. The company employs 400 staff and cares for 338 residents.

The company recently underwent an acquisition by family investment office Emerald Investment Partners and the group has recently submitted planning permission for another 165-bed unit in Swords.

Jimmy Tolan, chairman, Carechoice Group, said: “Every person needs a home that they can make their own; where they can flourish, live life to the full, connecting with families, friends and communities. At Carechoice, we provide a home-from-home for our residents. With over 30 years’ experience in managing specialist homes and independent living communities in Ireland, we work closely with our 338residents and their families across our five homes to meet the care options that best suit their needs. We are excited to bring Carechoice to Dublin, and the opening of this 165-bed facility today marks the first phase of an exciting time of expansion for our group.”

Paul Kingston, CEO, Carechoice Group, added: “At Carechoice we prioritise excellence: in our care, in our staff, in our services and in our facilities. Our home from home philosophy is only possible because of our investment in quality management systems and strategies. Our experienced, highly-trained staff deliver personalised healthcare programmes to ensure person-centred care, putting the individual at the centre of their own care, championing autonomy and respecting the dignity of choice and self-determination.”
