An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD this morning announced that Innovative, a global leader in library technology, is adding 25 new jobs at its EMEA HQ in Dublin, bringing employment to 50 by the end 2015.

Innovative, founded in 1978 and headquartered in Emeryville, California, is a global provider of integrated library management and automation software. The company’s software is installed in various types of libraries including academic, public, consortia, school, medical and law.

An Taoiseach met with Innovative CEO Kim Massana on his recent marketing business trip to the US with IDA Ireland.

Making the announcement today, he said: “Innovative’s decision to expand its operation in Ireland with the creation of 25 new jobs is another vote of confidence in the country’s strengths as a location for investment.  Continuing to support businesses to locate and grow here is central to the Government’s recovery plan and our determination to get our people back to work.”

“We have had a very positive experience of the business environment in Ireland since we first set up our EMEA headquarters in Dublin in 2012,” said Kim Massana, Innovative’s CEO.  “Dublin has a rich talent pool and we have been able to recruit an exceptionally skilled and multi-lingual staff to serve our customers throughout Europe – our current staff of 25 is fluent in 15 languages.  This is a real advantage to a global company like Innovative that serves libraries in more than 60 countries.”

Welcoming the expansion, Barry O’Leary, CEO of IDA Ireland said: “Innovative Interface’s EMEA HQ in Dublin is a key strategic division within the parent company delivering support, development and hosting solutions for the EMEA market.  The company’s decision to expand here is an endorsement of Ireland’s attractiveness to overseas companies as a location of choice for EMEA activities.”

Innovative Interfaces originally established its EMEA HQ in Dublin in August 2012.  The company is located in George’s Quay Plaza, Dublin and currently employs 25 people in customer and technical support, software development, system analysis and finance.
