Global business leaders are gathering in Dublin this evening as Ireland INC, in partnership with Business & Finance, launches its Global 100 list, paying tribute to senior Irish business executives for their successes internationally.

The Global 100 is an annually updated index which profiles some of most successful and influential business leaders across the global Irish network, as chosen by their peers. The initiative is one of the key events in the calendar of Ireland INC – a private sector initiative which holds a number of global events at venues including the New York and London Stock Exchanges, with the objective of advancing the interests of Irish business globally.

This special reception, taking place at the Merrion Hotel, Dublin, will celebrate the achievements of the Global 100 and recognise the contributions of two outstanding ambassadors for Irish business; Martin Naughton, founder/chairman of the Glen Dimplex Group and John Fitzpatrick, president/CEO of Fitzpatrick Hotels US and recently elected chairman of the American Ireland Fund.

Speaking ahead of the event, chairman and CEO of Ireland INC and publisher of Business & Finance, Ian Hyland, highlighted the importance of harnessing the potential of the global Irish network. “The Global 100 is an important event in the Ireland INC calendar as we acknowledge the efforts of key Irish business leaders around the globe,” said Hyland, who is also an attendee at this year’s Global Irish Economic Forum, which begins tomorrow in Dublin Castle. “Through their leadership and initiative, many of our Global 100 members have played a vital role in reflecting the mission of Ireland INC by promoting Irish interests abroad,” he added.
