Irish Life has won the overall Life Sector award in the 2016 Irish Brokers Association (IBA) Insurance Service Awards for the sixth year in succession.

The company also won the IBA Service Award for Best Claims Support.

With over 1 million customers, Irish Life has been part of the Great-West Lifeco group of companies since 2013.

“To win the overall IBA Life Company Award for a sixth consecutive year is a significant achievement and demonstrates our commitment to providing strong support for the broker network,” said Gerry Hassett, managing director, Irish Life Retail. “The prompt resolution and payment of claims is a core tenet of Irish Life’s business operations so we’re particularly delighted to also win the IBA Best Claims Support Award this year.”

Bill Kyle, chief executive, Irish Life Group, added: “I am immensely proud of the way the whole organisation has worked together to deliver success in 2015 which was a pivotal year for us.”

Kyle continued: “As we head into 2016 we are able to look forward, develop our strategic focus for the future and identify those initiatives which enable us achieve our full potential across the Group. I would like to congratulate all the team involved.”

The annual Irish Brokers Association Insurance Service Awards benchmark service to brokers from the insurance market and are a prestigious event in the Irish insurance calendar. IBA members are surveyed to determine the award winners.
