Ignite is a programme focused on creating value for international start-ups, scale-ups, trade agencies, accelerators and investors in Dublin’s established tech and business ecosystem. This year’s Ignite will see pavilions dedicated to IT Ukraine, the Italian Trade Agency, and Malta’s Tech.mt.

The aim of Ignite is to create a platform for global business and networking opportunities, “drive innovation, and increase investment across all international tech sectors.”

The Ignite programme will be welcoming international investors and over 100 start-ups from all over the world, including pavilion zones from Italy, Malta and Ukraine.

The IT Ukraine Association is the largest independent national association of tech companies representing the interests of more than 90,000 IT professionals. It is a unique NGO market body providing a middle ground to negotiate relationships between business and government bodies.

The group will be participating at DTS. Kostyantyn Vasyuk, Executive Director of The IT Ukraine Association said the group is “happy to announce its participation in Dublin Tech Summits (DTS).”

Vasyuk continues: “At the event we will offer the opportunity to acquaint yourself with the unique expertise of the Ukrainian IT market that managed not just to survive, but to grow under the extreme conditions of the ongoing war and to get first-hand information about the actual state of the tech industry in Ukraine. By joining the Summit, IT Ukraine as the point of entrance into the Ukrainian market for international businesses is making its debut on the Irish market.”

The Italian Trade Agency, the governmental agency that supports the business development of Italian companies abroad, and promotes the attraction of foreign investment in Italy, will also have a presence at DTS, having previously participated at last year’s event.

By joining the Summit, IT Ukraine as the point of entrance into the Ukrainian market for international businesses is making its debut on the Irish market.

In a statement, the Italian Trade Agency writes: “The event, which has reached its seventh edition, offers Italian innovative start-ups and SMEs unique networking perspectives and contact with the most important players leaders from both the Irish and international innovation ecosystems, to present the own technologies and innovations and find collaborations with investment funds and/or potential industrial partners.”

Public-Private Partnership Tech.mt was established in 2019 by the Government of Malta and the Malta Chamber of Commerce to promote Malta as a tech centre for innovative technologies within industry verticals, while also promoting local tech businesses on an international scale. Tech.mt will have a pavilion at DTS 2023.

Tech.mt’s CEO, Wayne Grixti, says: “Through our participation at DTS, Tech.mt will continue to facilitate global expansion opportunities. We will not only be promoting the growth and competitiveness of Malta’s digital economy, but also providing local tech companies with the possibility to expand and collaborate with international stakeholders. It is indeed of great pleasure to be part of DTS’s success and in its efforts in reaching out to investors, operators as well as consumers to promote Malta as the place to set foot and establish their businesses and operations”.

Malta is a thriving tech jurisdiction with a growing digital economy and a stable supportive regulatory environment that encourages innovation and investment. As an EU Member State, Malta provides companies with access to a large market and various tax and non-tax incentives including cash grants to support investments in research, innovation and expansion, making it an ideal destination for tech companies seeking to expand their operations in Europe and beyond.

The Ignite stage offers in-depth workshops and content specifically designed for start-ups, scale-ups and investors who will have the opportunity to learn the practical elements of starting a tech business and what markets are best suited for growth and investment.

The Vision pitch competition will see over 30 startups battle is out for the coveted title of having the best vision in the Ignite programme as well as being matched with corporate and investor mentors who will be advising on things like how to scale their business, drive successful operations and internationalisation.
