Minister Richard Bruton TD today announced that 50 new high end technology based positions will be created over the next three years by US software company KEMP Technologies at its EMEA HQ in Limerick.

The company which has seven offices worldwide, with Limerick heading up the EMEA region, is a global leader in the development of the most advanced load balancers in the world that enable all types of SMEs and Global Groups to optimise their e-commerce and online traffic capabilities, such as online banking, email, web and cloud based applications. The company also intend to invest even more resources to accommodate their rapid expansion in the city’s National Technology Park in Plassey.

Based in KEMP’s Limerick EMEA HQ the new jobs will bolster the company’s operations  in software R&D, quality assurance, CRM, marketing and operations.

In addition to the highly skilled roles, a proportion of jobs will be for graduates. The company will also add temporary roles for the KEMP Paid Co-op Program. So far KEMP has hired 90% of their work experience students from surrounding third level colleges due to their employability readiness and which has contributed to the company’s 425% growth since it set up in Ireland 3 years ago with just 3 people.

Making the announcement Minister Bruton said: “Today’s announcement that KEMP, a hugely innovative company in this area, is more than doubling its operations in Ireland with the creation of 50 high end jobs is great news for Limerick and for Ireland. This is a leading tech company, growing rapidly in Limerick, creating jobs rapidly and recruiting young people from local third level institutes and from placement programmes – a model of what we are trying to deliver in areas around the country.”

“Choosing Limerick as KEMP’s gateway to international market expansion has turned out to be a tremendous success story for the company” said Ray Downes, KEMP Technologies’ CEO. “Since the first investment the intervening three years has seen an almost five times worldwide revenue growth and headcount increase. Our international business is now 45% of global revenues. Having recently raised expansion capital to take us through the next number of years it was an easy decision to build on the talent and leadership pool we already have based in Limerick. The bar is raised as the charter of the operation in Limerick will increase to include some global responsibilities in software development, QA, marketing and operational roles.”

Since its establishment in Limerick and its accelerated growth, KEMP’s Limerick team have expanded operations into 55 countries and are now exporting into emerging markets such as Japan, Russia, India, China and South Africa

KEMP’s clients include Audi, Hyundai, McMillan Cancer Research, English FA and RTE to name a few.
