Patterson Pump Ireland has launched its new manufacturing facility in the IDA Business Park, Marlinstown, Mullingar and hopes to create 65 skilled jobs by 2020.
The global pump manufacturer has continually thrived throughout the recession, successfully growing its workforce year-on-year. The company already employs 37 people at the midlands location exports its products to over 60 countries worldwide.
Rod Pelot, managing drector, Patterson Pump Ireland said: “The growth of Patterson Pump Ireland is a fitting acknowledgement to the commitment shown by staff to standards of excellence. This has enabled us to grow as a company for five consecutive years throughout the recession. The creation of one manufacturing job generates additional jobs within the community; we hope the Midlands will continue to reap the benefits of our expansion.”
Richard Bruton TD, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation said: “Recently we launched the Midlands Jobs Plan, aimed at building on the progress we’ve made in job-creation in this area, and at its heart is building more manufacturing employment across the region. Today’s announcement that Patterson Pump Ireland is creating 28 additional jobs is an important boost for Mullingar and for the midlands region, and I wish Rod and his team every success with this project.”
