In the luxurious surrounds of the Royal College of Physicians in the heart of Dublin, Ireland’s leading life science innovators are due to be celebrated at the launch of the Business & Finance Life Science 50 edition.

Ireland is a globally recognised centre of excellence in the life science industry and four decades of continuous investment has made the country a location of choice for international life science companies.

Our life science scene has exploded in recent years. With annual exports worth approximately €8.5bn, we are heavyweights in the manufacture and distribution of medical products.

Ireland’s low corporate tax rate and exceptional talent pool have helped in attracting so many global life science leaders.

There is a high demand for niche skills as the pharmaceutical and medical device industry advances. The demand for consultants and permanent staff members within Ireland will continue to grow over the coming years.

Title sponsors of the Life Science 50 launch event is HSBC and its head of Multinationals John O’Connor will speak at the prestigious event. At HSBC, O’Connor manages a dedicated team to service subsidiaries of international companies with significant operations in Ireland with regional responsibilities across Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa.

HSBC has full banking operations in Ireland from its Dublin office. It includes treasury, FX, and commodities management, trade and receivables finance and payments cash management. HSBC is one of the strongest credit rated banks operating in Ireland with a significant international reach in to 80 countries worldwide.
