The new Italian office of Blueface, Ireland’s leading cloud telephony company has been officially opened by Richard Bruton TD, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation.
Blueface Italia is based in the main technological centre in Rome accommodating 40 high tech start-up enterprises. The centre is located at the Roma Termini Train Station.The event took place as part of the St Patrick’s Day ‘Promote Ireland’ mission to Italy led by Minister Bruton.
To coincide with the official opening of the new Blueface Italia office, the company has announced a partnership with alter.net, an Italian systems integrator, whose customers include Fendi, Finmeccanica and Manpower.
The company has made considerable progress in less than a year. It has won two major managed service contracts with Italian ISPs, who will provide Blueface Italia’s technology and services under their own brand names. Blueface Italia has also recently signed up twenty of the start-up companies in the technological centre where it is located.
Blueface first entered the Italian market in 2013 and company founder Feargal Brady has re-located to Italy to oversee the launch and rollout of the company.
Speaking at the opening, Minister Bruton said: “At the heart of our Action Plan for Jobs is our ambition to create a powerful engine of Irish enterprise alongside our strong multinational sector. Key to this is supporting innovative Irish companies to grow in export markets like Italy. Today’s announcement by Blueface, an innovative Irish company operating in the cutting edge cloud telephony sector, that it is opening an office in Rome is a very welcome demonstration of what is possible in markets like this for Irish companies. I wish Blueface every success with its operations in Italy.”

The opening of Blueface Italia was also attended by the Irish Ambassador to Italy, Bobby McDonagh; Julie Sinnamon, CEO, Enterprise Ireland; Paul Maguire, manager Italy and Spain, Enterprise Ireland; and Dermot Clohessy, executive director, IDA Ireland.
