This week sees new and notable appointments at Bord Gáis Energy, Sisu Clinic, Springboard Communications, and IQ-EQ.

Bord Gáis Energy has announced changes to its executive management team with the appointment of Teresa Purtill to the newly created role of Director of Services and Solutions, and Colin Bebbington as Director of Energy, Marketing and Data.

Teresa joined Bord Gáis Energy in 2015 as Customer & Field Operations Director, with responsibility for driving the company’s customer experience strategy, business excellence and strategic programme delivery.  In her new role as Director of Services and Solutions, Teresa will spearhead the growth of Bord Gáis Energy’s services business and drive the revenue and commercial strategies for the organisation.

Prior to joining Bord Gáis Energy, Teresa was Global VP for Customer Care for the Hertz Corporation. Teresa holds an MA in European Integration from the University of Limerick and is a graduate of Wharton Business School Executive Development Program, University of Pennsylvania.

Colin takes on the new role of Director of Energy, Marketing and Data, where he will lead Bord Gáis Energy’s consumer and business energy performance, sales and marketing strategies, and ensure excellence in the company’s data management practices. Colin joined Bord Gáis Energy in 2012, where he first held the role of Residential Category Controller and subsequently Retail Director leading the company’s retail and marketing strategies.

Colin has a wealth of experience in the telecommunications and energy sectors, including senior roles at Vodafone and Meteor. Colin holds a Masters in Strategic Management from University College Dublin and is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin.

Kimberly Nemser, Executive Board of Directors
Sisu Clinic

Sisu Clinic, a doctor-led cosmetic medicine destination offering a comprehensive range of non-surgical beauty treatments, recently announced the appointment of Kimberly Nemser, accomplished retail strategist of Warby Parker, to its Executive Board of Directors.

Kim has joined Sisu Clinic bringing with her over 18 years of diverse, strategic global experience in business transformation, delivering solutions that address new and emerging markets as of July 2021. As the Chief Merchandising Officer of Warby Parker, a transformative lifestyle brand that offers designer eyewear while leading the way for socially conscious businesses, she is responsible for merchandising, planning, product development, and strategy for the business.

“Sisu is dedicated to providing the most innovative luxury cosmetic medicine treatments available in the market and an unparalleled patient experience. As we set our sights on market expansion in the year ahead, we are thrilled to have Kim aboard this team,” says co-founder Pat Phelan. “Kim’s experience scaling Warby Parker and her understanding of the modern luxury retail landscape will help us identify the most purposeful growth markets for the brand to enter. Kim joins Greycroft Venture Partner Kamran Ansari, medical co-founders Dr James Cotter and Dr Brian Cotter, serial technology entrepreneur Pat Phelan, and Bullpen Capital General Manager and board observer Eric Wiesen. Speaking on her appointment to Sisu Clinic’s Management Board, Nemser said, “I am beyond excited by the opportunity to work with such an accomplished team. We all come to the table with different vantage points on brand-building and the evolution of the aesthetics industry.”

Prior to joining Warby Parker in 2016, Kim began her career in finance working as an analyst for UBS Investment Bank and then moved to BAAM, the hedge fund arm of The Blackstone Group. After four years in finance, Kim pivoted into the fashion industry, where she worked for two years at Tods, a luxury Italian leather goods company. From Tods, she moved to J.Crew and spent seven years in women’s merchandising, most recently as a Vice President overseeing the women’s apparel, footwear, and accessories businesses.

A native of Falmouth, Maine, Kim graduated from Dartmouth College. She sits on the board of the luxury DTC footwear brand, Sarah Flint, and is also part of Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Associates Committee and Good Plus Foundation’s Friends Committee. Kim lives in Greenwich, Connecticut, with her husband, Adam, and their two children, Millie and Hayes.

Springboard Communications, the award-winning independent Irish communications agency, has announced the appointment of two new senior roles: Sandy Boundy as Director of Strategy and Insight and Ciara Flaherty as Client Director. The positions strengthen Springboard Communications’ expanding service offering, as the agency continues to address clients’ immediate business priorities, from driving sustainability to connecting increasingly remote teams through strategic internal communications.

The newly created role of Director of Strategy and Insight will see Sandy, who is the former Communications & Sustainability Manager at HEINEKEN, leading strategy efforts. She will work closely with the team to guide, deliver and optimise key outcomes for both Springboard Communications and its partner clients, particularly in her areas of expertise of internal communications and sustainability.

Further new appointments include Ciara Flaherty, who after five years with the agency, is promoted to Client Director. Drawing on her continued work and expertise in external communications for corporate clients, Ciara will also head up Springboard’s new Internal Wire division. Through this dedicated service offering, Springboard partners with clients on all aspects of internal communications, from strategic planning to leadership engagement; content creation to training.

Emma Crabtree, Group Chief Commercial Officer

Emma Crabtree joins investor services firm, IQ-EQ, as Group Chief Commercial Officer following a year which has seen major growth.

A leading figure in the industry with over 26 years of experience in financial service institutions, Emma has an established track record of delivering commercial business value in senior executive positions across the industry.

Most recently, Emma held the position of Global Head of Sales of a leading global custodian securities services provider, working with a team of over 200 sales and relationship management professionals to drive global sales opportunities across existing clients and new prospects.

In her new role at IQ-EQ, Emma will play a leading role in championing organic growth across the business. She will be responsible for the Group’s commercial and segment strategy, growth plans, go to market approach and continuing to build a Group wide unified commercial and sales culture.

Commenting on her new position, Emma said,“I am thrilled to be joining IQ-EQ at what is an exciting time for the company. 2021 marked a huge year for the business.
