Gillian Chamberlain, Sustainability Manager, Capita.

Capita plc (‘Capita’) has appointed Gillian Chamberlain to lead the company’s operations and growth strategy in Ireland.

Gillian joins Capita’s Experience division from BT Ireland, where she was director of sales. Prior to BT, she worked for Hewlett Packard and IBM in a number of global and European leadership roles.

In her new role, Gillian will be responsible for delivering Capita Experience’s strategy to expand its digital offering – including cloud, AI and multi-lingual services – to further enhance customer experience and delivery for existing and prospective clients.

Capita is the market-leading customer experience business in Ireland, interacting with over 4.5m people across the country annually. The breadth of markets Capita Experience serves in Ireland – across financial services, telco, tech, media and multi-industry – provides a strong opportunity for growth with both existing clients and in new markets.

Examples of Capita’s cross-sector client base in Ireland include Bord Bia; Bord Gais Energy; the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine; Eircode; RTB (Residential Tenancies Board); and Vodafone.

Lavelle Partners has appointed senior solicitor and property law expert, Greg Flanagan, as Partner. Greg is the second Partner on the firm’s expanding Commercial Property Team alongside Partner, Nicola Walsh.

Greg joined Lavelle Partners in 2018 and has since worked across a wide range of commercial and residence property transactions. Greg is experienced in commercial transactions in areas such as hospitality, retail, healthcare, and mixed commercial and residential developments.

The addition of a second partner to the Property Team comes alongside a number of significant hires across the firm to aid expansion and increasing demand.

Managing Partner, Michael Lavelle, says; “We’re seeing huge growth across the firm, especially in Commercial Property, Corporate and Commercial Litigation. Greg was an obvious choice as our newest partner. He’s skilled and experienced in commercial and residential property transactions. He offers clients a thorough, accurate and fast service”.

Learning Pool, the Derry headquartered international leader in learning technology, with offices in the UK and US, has today announced the appointment of Harper Wells as Chief Compliance Officer (CCO).

Harper takes up this role following the recent acquisition of True Office Learning, a US-based eLearning and analytics company, where she was Director of Compliance Insights and Strategy for 3 years.

She brings extensive experience in leading compliance and ethics programmes, driving product strategy and providing industry thought leadership.

Prior to joining Learning Pool, Harper held several compliance, risk, and governance positions, including at Sempra Energy, a San Diego, California based energy services holding company, for 14 years.
