This week sees new and notable appointments at Expleo Ireland, Strike, Docutec and Grayling Property Management


Cathal Murphy, Client Director for Life Sciences, Healthcare and Manufacturing

Expleo, the technology partner for innovative companies, today announces the appointment of Cathal Murphy as Client Director for its Life Sciences, Healthcare and Manufacturing Division. Cathal will be responsible for directing the digital transformation strategies of Expleo’s expanding client base through end-to-end integrated engineering, quality services and management consulting.

Prior to joining Expleo, Cathal served as Client Partner and Sales Lead with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for two years, where he helped domestic and international customers across the Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors solve complex business problems through tech-led decision making. Before his time with TCS, he spent four years with Infosys as Associate Director, Business Development – Life Sciences, Europe. 

Cathal’s combined six years’ experience working with leaders in the pharma, medtech, healthcare and manufacturing sectors across Ireland, the UK and Europe will play a central role in helping Expleo’s clients in these verticals to expedite digital transformation initiatives.

Strike, the growing Irish start up that provides tipping and giving solutions in a cashless environment, has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of seasoned digital commercial executive, Edel Kinane.

Edel joins Strike from Just Eat where she held the role of Commercial Director.  As part of the Just Eat Ireland executive leadership team since 2014, Edel spearheaded the growth and development of Just Eat in Ireland, building a base of 3000 restaurant partners, over one million customers and 78% market share. Edel also has many years’ experience of building strategic marketing campaigns both in house and on the agency side for blue chip brands including Brown Thomas, PepsiCo and Unilever.

Edel’s unique understanding of the digital marketplace and the growing range of opportunities in the hospitality, beauty, charity and other sectors for an accessible and easy to use cashless tipping and donation solution will be invaluable as Strike continues on its growth trajectory.

Edel’s appointment follows the confirmation that the Company recently closed its seed funding round and has started to build a diverse customer base in both the UK and in Ireland.

Cantec Group has announced the appointment of Stephen Crowley to its Docutec division. With offices nationwide, Stephen takes up the lead as Area Sales and Account Manager for Cork and Kerry. Stephen joins the Docutec team with a wealth of experience in the Sales industry, having previously held roles with Ricoh Ireland and Total Import Solutions in conjunction with Canon.

Founded in 1994 as part of the Cantec Group, Docutec is an industry leader in managed print solutions, helping clients to streamline their document workflows, establish a predictable cost-per-page, all while enhancing employee productivity and reducing their overall print costs. The Docutec team works closely with SmartOffice, also part of the Cantec Group, offering software automation solutions to the bottlenecks in business processes like accounts payable and document management.

Aoife Gaffney, Managing Director
Grayling Property Management

Grayling Properties has announced the appointment of Aoife Gaffney as the new Managing Director of its letting division, Grayling Property Management. With more than 13 years’ experience in the residential property industry, Aoife is an expert in managing large-scale investments while increasing capital growth. Specialising in Dublin’s private rented sector and having worked in some of Ireland’s leading property advisor firms, Aoife has a strong understanding of clients’ needs, helps drive ambitious plans and a has proven track record of delivery.

Welcoming the announcement, Tim Cahill, co-founder and Managing Director of Grayling Properties said: “I am delighted to announce the expansion of Grayling Properties with the appointment of Aoife Gaffney. Our growth is strengthened by the quality of our people and Aoife brings with her a depth of knowledge and experience, particularly having worked client-side. The urban property market is changing rapidly, and we are confident that Aoife will excel in her new role, heading up our letting and management division and delivering for Grayling Properties and our clients.”

Grayling Properties is a market leader in asset and property management. Overseeing the delivery of residential units from development to letting, it currently manages over 1,000 units in Dublin.

Speaking on her appointment, Aoife said: “I’m excited to join Grayling Properties at such a pivotal time for the property market in Ireland. Over the last year, Ireland has had to re-evaluate city living, where the focus is now on connectivity and sustainability in order to create liveable communities. Quality homes and end-user experience will be crucial to that, and I’m looking forward to working with a skilled and dedicated team passionate about the sector, as well as advising clients on all aspects of developments – from vision to set-up, right through to letting and management.”

Aoife is a member of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers (IPAV) and is licensed by the Property Service Regulatory Authority (PSRA).

Before joining Grayling Properties, Aoife was Associate Director at Development 8, having previously worked at Burlington Real Estate, Sherry FitzGerald Lettings and WYSE.
