One4all and Dublin Chamber of Commerce have joined forces for the inaugural Spotlight Awards.

New research reveals that 42% of staff are more likely to stay with a company that cares. With this in mind, One4all has come up with the ingenious National One4all Spotlight Awards, which will shine a light on those employees who go the extra mile and deserve special recognition within their organisations.

One4all launched the Awards in partnership with the Dublin Chamber of Commerce to reward staff throughout Ireland and help boost morale of companies and staff alike.

Economic recovery has shifted the focus to increased rewards for employees, but for some SMEs, reward schemes can present significant challenges due to limited resources.

In a recent One4all survey, 42% of staff stated that they would be more likely to stay with a company that cares. And One4all believe rewarding employees who go the extra mile is now more important than ever.  The One4all Spotlight Awards will recognise the great work that employees do while understanding that companies are not always in a position to offer monetary rewards to staff.

The One4all Spotlight Awards are open to all Irish companies.  Applications will be judged by an independent panel consisting of business experts. Nominations will be open from November 10th until November 30th and can be submitted, in confidence, through the One4all website. Simply nominate your chosen employee or colleague and explain why you feel they should receive recognition in 300 words. The overall winner will receive the recognition they deserve and have a chance to win a prize of up to €500. There is also an opportunity for members of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce to enter their own category via the Dublin Chamber of Commerce website.

Speaking at the One4all Spotlight Awards launch, Michael Dawson, CEO of One4all said: “Many employees fail to get the recognition they deserve for the positive contribution they make in the workplace.  Some employers are suffering from the effects of the recession, so the Spotlight Awards will help employers recognise their staff without it costing a penny.”

Gina Quin from Dublin Chamber of Commerce added: “SMEs are definitely more optimistic about the future, but many still suffer with cash flow issues and access to finance can still be a real problem.  The One4all Spotlight Awards will remind staff that great work is appreciated by employers.”
