Irish fashion e-commerce platform, Opsh.com, has been accepted into the distinguished Microsoft Ventures Accelerator programme in London, beating over 400 applicants to secure one of the coveted spots.

Providing consumers with a single destination to shop across the high streets, Opsh.com launched in the UK in September 2015 and, as a result of being accepted into the programme, will now be afforded workspace in the heart of Tech City in London.

Listing companies such as Firefly, AppyParking and FOVE, Microsoft Ventures also provides outstanding networking opportunities and mentors for their start-ups, encouraging continual growth and creativity.

Opsh.com has expanded its retailer base to more than 30 in just over a year to include household names such as Reiss, River Island and Warehouse.

Since launching in the UK, the site has been listed as one of top 50 Retail Innovations in UK by Retail Insights and noted as one of the top five fashion apps in the UK by Harper’s Bazaar.

Opsh currently employs 10 full-time Irish staff and five part-time and has worked with 15 Irish contracted companies in the last two years.

Jennie McGinn, CEO and co-founder, commented: “We are feeling incredibly grateful and honoured today. We pitched only yesterday so the rapid response has come as a surprise. We had some pretty steep competition but we hope that some of the others that we met made it through too. It’s going to be a wonderful collaborative experience that is certain to elevate Opsh.com to the next level.”
