By Business & Finance PINERGY, Ireland’s newest Pay-As-You-Go electricity company, has announced that Xtra-vision is to become a retail partner.
Launching in-store tomorrow, consumers will be able to sign up for PINERGY at Xtra-vision stores and integrated Xtra-vision and HMV stores nationwide. With the new partnership, anyone who signs up with PINERGY will receive a complimentary Xtra-vision Gold Rental Pass, which offers unlimited movie and game rentals for one month.
PINERGY is an Irish owned and operated company, headquartered at NexusUCD, the Industry Partnership Centre at UCD. Offering a fresh approach to Irish electricity consumers, PINERGY allows the customer to control what they spend and when they spend it, with no deposits, no installation fees and no more bills.
PINERGY customers buy credit as they would for a pre-pay mobile phone with their PINERGY card, and top up using a user friendly keypad, known as a Budget Controller, which is installed in the consumers’ home free of charge. The keypad displays information detailing actual electricity consumption in real time in both euros and kilowatts, allowing customers to control exactly how much electricity they are using, and most importantly – their costs.
Munster and Ireland rugby player Paul O’Connell is a director of PINERGY, and acts as the company’s brand ambassador – as well as using PINERGY in his own home.
PINERGY customers buy credit as they would for a pre-pay mobile phone with their PINERGY card. As well as purchasing directly from PINERGY, customers will be able to purchase credit directly at Xtra-vision stores.
