Qualcom, a leading Irish provider of IT solutions, infrastructure and support services, has secured a contract, to the value of €500,000, to provide a comprehensive range of IT managed services and professional services to Pepper Asset Servicing (Pepper).

Qualcom supported the migration of Pepper’s entire IT infrastructure out of GE Capital Ireland to its two new locations in Dublin and Shannon and is also providing ongoing managed services to the business. The managed services contract includes the provision of three onsite technical engineers to support Pepper’s 170 employees.

Pepper Asset Servicing is part of Pepper Group, and provides asset management, loan servicing and advisory services to organisations including Irish and international financial institutions, wholesale funding institutions, loan originators, as well as investors.

It entered the Irish market in September 2012 following the acquisition of the share capital of GE Capital Woodchester Home Loans Limited.  Qualcom was instrumental in the complete migration and separation of Pepper’s entire IT infrastructure out of GE Capital Ireland across to Pepper’s new data centre and connected the two new office locations.

Following the migration of the network and systems out of GE Capital, Qualcom has secured the contract to proactively manage Pepper’s growing IT infrastructure from its Network Operations Centre (NOC) in Dublin. Qualcom’s technical experts are monitoring Pepper’s servers 24×7 to ensure all applications are secure and running at optimum levels and it is also providing a full helpdesk function for day-to-day routine support.

The three onsite technical engineers provided by Qualcom, work full-time at Pepper’s Shannon and Dublin bases to provide additional support to the internal IT team, enabling them to concentrate on more strategic projects.

Darren Delaney, IT infrastructure manager, Pepper Asset Servicing commented: “The technical team in Qualcom, including the senior management, are very accessible at all times and have immersed themselves in our organisation, to become an integral part of our IT team.

“With a growing business we are always on the lookout for new projects and developments that will help us drive the company forward. Supported by Qualcom, our new Commercial Servicing and tailored Mortgage Servicing platforms significantly enhance our ability to offer new services to customers in Ireland.”

Ken Breen, managing director, Qualcom said: “We are continuously investing in our managed services offering to ensure our customers, such as Pepper, can concentrate on their core business, while we look after the reliability and availability of their IT infrastructure. More and more of our customers are looking to benefit from these outsourced IT managed services as a cost effective means of protecting their IT investment.”
