By Business & Finance The launch of Ireland’s first cash-based reward app REEP Rewards, which allows consumers to earn cash based on their loyalty to its partner brands, is set to revolutionise the way Irish consumers engage with their favourite brands regardless of where they shop.
The REEP Rewards app reads receipts and allocates a cash reward to the consumer’s account based on the products they have purchased. REEP Rewards is bringing together leading Irish and international brands into one loyalty programme – early adopters include Kellogg’s, Brennan’s, Heinz and Esso.
The app allows consumers and client companies to interact in a convenient, cost efficient and seamless way. Using the REEP Rewards app could deliver an annual cash reward of up to €750 for Irish families.
The app which is backed by WIN | WIN, Ireland’s leading loyalty programme provider, will see an investment of in excess of €1.5mn over the next two years. The app is also supported by Enterprise Ireland and is a technology partner of Microsoft.
James Lenehan, CEO of REEP Rewards says: “REEP Rewards is an Irish-owned, Irish developed platform that has taken over two years to develop. The global loyalty market is worth in excess of €1bn annually and we are really excited about launching the app first in Ireland. We are launching to the Irish market now, with a view to bringing the REEP Rewards platform to the European market within the next 12 to 18 months. Our business strategy is very much focused on the global market. REEP Rewards already employs ten people and we hope to employ a further 20 staff over the next 12 months, with recruitment to begin before Christmas.”
The REEP Rewards app is driven by a suite of patented technologies, developed to provide consumers with the ultimate 21st century rewards programme. The IT platform behind REEP Rewards mobile app sits on Microsoft’s Azure platform and includes bank grade encryption for security of data, fraud checkers, logic checkers and the very latest Optical Character Recognition (OCR) reader software. Integrating these technologies means that REEP Rewards mobile app can read the details off your printed receipt and allocate cash rewards to your account, whilst providing industry leading security and fraud protection.
