Capita has announced that Cork-based firm SouthWestern, a provider of outsourced managed services in Ireland, will today begin trading as Capita Customer Solutions.

The business, which was acquired by Capita in August 2014, employs 600 people in Ireland and another 300 in Poland and the UK.

Under the new brand, the company will grow its capabilities and draw on the expertise and scale of the wider Capita group.

Paddy Morrissey, managing director of Capita Customer Solutions, said: “We are a well-established Irish company and through our service delivery we interact with a significant number of homes and businesses nationwide every year. We look forward to working with new and existing clients to develop innovative solutions for their future needs. We have very ambitious plans for the expansion of the business over the next couple of years, and will continue to put the customer at the centre of everything we do.”

The rebrand comes as Capita moves to create a more new business model across Ireland, which will be referred to as Capita Ireland.

Robbie Hughes, country manager for Capita Ireland, commented: “Capita Ireland is the realisation of a long-held strategy to fully leverage the capabilities of all of our businesses in Ireland. With the backing of a UK FTSE100 group, Capita’s businesses managed in Ireland have been going from strength to strength. This move underscores our commitment to growing our businesses further and expanding the proposition we can offer to existing and prospective clients here.”
